Mayor of North Delhi, Mr. Ravinder Gupta said that the Corporation is making all out efforts to provide best civic services to North Delhi residents. He also said at present, the corporation is going through financial crunch but trying to provide maximum facilities to the north Delhi citizens.
Chairman, Standing Committee, Mr. Mohan Prasad Bhardwaj said that People still have faith in ancient Indian medical therapies. He said, this Ayurvedic Panchkarma & Diabetic Centre a gift to local citizens.
Chairman, Ward Committee Narela and area councillor, Ms. Jagroshni informed that the Ayurvedic Panchkarma & Diabetic Centre has been developed having an area of 2190.03 square metres with an approximated cost of Rs. 448.84 lacs. This Centre has meditation room, yoga room, library, canteen, 2 lifts, 2 kitchens.
Ms, Jagroshani added that newly constructed school has been developed with an approximated cost of Rs.185.96 lakh School consisting of two storey building having three classrooms alongwith toilet block on each floor.

Union Minister, Science & Technology Dr. Harsh Vardhan today inaugurated the modern community toilet complex at Ashoka Basti, Nabi karim in Sadar Paharganj zone. On the occasion North Delhi Mayor, Mr. Ravinder Gupta; former MLA, Mr. Motilal Sodhi; Director in Chief (DEMS), Mr. Devender Kumar; Commissioner (Sadar Paharganj Zone), Mr. R.S. Meena and number of local residents were also present. The function was presided over by Chairman, Sadar Paharganj Zone and area councilor, Ms. Lata Sodhi.
On the occasion, Mr. Harsh Vardhan said that it is not easy to construct a modern community toilet complex separately for both gents and ladies in such area. He also said that we always try to identify the problem and find solution for it. He also said that Delhi government support is required to provide services to the citizens. He also said that we are highly motivated to serve the weaker section of the society and organizing camps for physically handicaps and providing them cycle, motorized tri-cycles and wheelchairs.

Mr Gupta informed that there are 1700 parks with tubewells in North Delhi Municipal Corporation’s jurisdiction for which the scheme would be applicable.
North Delhi Mayor Mr. Ravinder Gupta today announced that North Delhi Municipal Corporation is working on a new scheme under which the advertising rights would be handed over in lieu of adoption of parks for maintenance which are having tubewells installed.
Mr Gupta informed that there are 1700 parks with tubewells in North Delhi Municipal Corporation’s jurisdiction for which the scheme would be applicable. He said that a Memorandum of Understanding would be signed with the individual or organization which shows interest in maintaining park.
He further informed that a coordination committee would be constituted with members of concerned RWA, chaudhary/mali, that would be responsible for monitoring of the maintenance of the park and improvement of greenery through plantation and overall development work.
“In an existing scheme, when a park is adopted for maintenance, they are given a payment of Rs. 8000 per acre on a monthly basis but in the new policy, no payment would be given, only advertising rights would be given ,” Mr. Ravinder Gupta said.
Mr. Gupta said that under the new scheme, the focus would be on improving the greenery of the park and its management. Besides, this shortage of gardeners would also be addressed as gardeners withdrawn from such parks would be utilized in other areas where need be.

Mayor of North Delhi, Mr Ravinder Gupta went around in the areas of North Delhi Municipal Corporation to take stock of the situation during rains. He informed that municipal staff was in the field from wherever complaints have come for outfall of the stagnant water.
Mr Gupta alleged that most of the areas where there was waterlogging was due to laxity of PWD as they didnot care for timely desilting of drains which serve as outfall to municipal drains. He said i had written a letter to CM that departments under his control are not serious about arrangements for monsoon but he also not paid heed to the issue resulting in waterlogging at number of places that put life of Delhiites out of gear.
The Mayor said that we are taking it as challenge if it rains as forecasted and would be in the field alongwith senior officers for prompt action but urged the CM of Delhi to leave other issues for the time being and direct its departments to work in coordination with Corporation to prevent waterlogging during the coming days.

He was accompanied by Leader of House, Mr Yogendra Chandolia; former Deputy Mayor, Ms Poornima Vidyarthi;Area Councillor Ms Surekha Gupta; Deputy Commissioner of City Zone Mr Nadunchezian and other senior officials were also present.
Mayor said this programme would be conducted in all the 104 Municipal Wards in the jurisdiction of North Delhi. At least one meeting in a ward in a month would be scheduled. Through this programme we can directly interact with the citizens to solve their local issues pertaining to the corporation promptly and try to make administration more transparent and accountable.
He informed that for implementation of the programme 6 Zonal Committees have been constituted. The members of committees include senior elected representatives and officers, who will directly interact with the citizens at the doorstep to solve their issues.

Met Arvind Kejriwal for Approx 80000 Pensioners Relief in North MCD
North Delhi Mayor Mr. Ravinder Gupta alongwith standing Committee Chairman of North Delhi Municipal Corporation Mr. Mohan Bhardwaj today met the Chief Minister of Delhi Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, seeking their due funds for running the Corporation in an effective and efficient way.
Mr. Gupta particularly sought financial help so that the Corporation can disburse pension, delay of which is affecting about 80,000 families. They informed the Chief Minister that the Corporation has not been able to pay old age pension for the last one year due to the ongoing financial crisis. He demanded that funds be released in the public interest even though the Chief Minister may take credit for the same.
He demanded due Municipal Reform Fund of approximately Rs. 500 crore from the Delhi Government. He apprised the CM that the pensioner visit the municipal offices or councilors every month in the hope of receiving pension but are compelled to go back empty-handed. They said that for a pension of Rs. 1000 per month, pensioners request their councillors many times who are hapless due to lack of funds.
Mr. Gupta and Mr. Bhardwaj also informed the CM that the civic body has made some policies but their results in monetary form might take some time materialize. However, with realization of income from some sources, the salaries of employees and sanitation workers has been paid.
The Mayor and the Standing Committee Chairman demanded from the Chief Minister that the due share of Municipal Reform Fund of the Corporation of about Rs. 500 crore be released at the earliest or some amount of loan be provided so that pensions can be disbursed without further delay.
Mr. Gupta and Mr. Bhardwaj said that the Chief Minister has assured them of all possible help after due consideration.
