Mayor Mr. Ravinder Gupta inspected Ballimaran area in Walled city

North Delhi Mayor Mr. Ravinder Gupta today inspected areas of Ballimaran in Ward No. 86 in Old Delhi to take stock of various civic services being provided by the Corporation. He was accompanied by former councillor of the area Mr. Suman Gupta; Deputy Commissioner of City Zone Mr. A K Gupta; Chief Engineer Mr. Naurang Singh and senior officers of other departments.
Mr. Gupta asked the DJB officials to get the lid of the manhole opened at Charkhewalan road  and get the manhole cleaned of the choked material so that stormwater does not stagnate on roads. In Katra Balamal, he directed the officials to develop a new community toilet complex and repair the water tank. He asked the officials to improve the services at MCD Ayurved hospital at Ballimaran and arranged benches and chairs for staff of the hospital. He said that the school building at Phatak Bad Walan be utilized for a productive use since it is lying unused.
The Mayor also announced that an old age home would be developed in place of a dhalao, community hall and library buildings as the existing structures are in dilapidated conditions and serve no purpose.  The Mayor also inspected Khari Baoli market and asked officials to ensure that the market is cleaned regularly. The Mayor said that the area of Old Delhi is an important economic hub which attracts people from not just all over India but abroad also. He said that the Corporation is committed to provide all possible civic amenities in the area. The Mayor also visited Ghalib ki Haveli in Ballimaran.
In Charkhewlalan Road, ‘Nigam Prasashan Janta Ke Dwar’ was also organized where the Mayor Mr. Gupta interacted with the local residents and assured them to addressing their grievances regarding services being provided by the North DMC.
